Here, where exceptional biodiversity meets a rich tapestry of languages, cultures, and histories, our campus provides an ideal setting to explore the many facets of Francophone identity in a globalized world. Since 2012, we have developed tailor-made French Immersion Campus programs to meet the needs of international students. These three-week courses combine French as a Foreign Language instruction with academic lectures, cultural activities, and immersive field trips.

At the core of this Immersion Campus is a unique opportunity to learn French in a truly multilingual and multicultural setting. New Caledonia, shaped by both Pacific legacies and French heritage, offers an ideal space to explore the deep connections between language, culture, and identity.

Rooted in a sociolinguistic approach, our program encourages students to experience New Caledonia as a living laboratory of languages, cultures, and biodiversity. Through real-world interactions and intercultural learning, participants gain not only linguistic skills, but also a deeper understanding of how language reflects and shapes social identity and cultural belonging.
